A/N: Aish, I’m taking so long I’m sorry! I’m so busy with moving rn.
I felt miserable, lying in a bed, a puke bucket next to me. My throat and body was dry, sweltering hot. We were making a simple potion, that’s all! Curiosity overcame me, so I sipped up the drink, and here I am. Merula walked in, sighing.
“Still sick I see?” She remarked, Madam Pomfrey comforting someone else. I only nodded, as she helped me drink some water. She put a cool rag on my forehead, as she sat next to me silently. “So…Do you feel any better?” She said awkwardly.
“Not really.” I gruffed, my voice rough. It was hard to talk. She frowned, messing with my fingers, my hands interlocked with her’s. “I feel and prolly look super gross, and I can barely speak.” I whined, as she only chuckled.
“You look fine love, and I don’t care if you can’t speak. I think you’re great either way.” She reassured, as I sighed.
“What did I ever do to deserve you?” I murmured quietly, taking another sip of water as she held my head.
“Defeat me in a duel, obviously.” She scoffed, rolling her eyes playfully. I felt something in the back of my throat all of a sudden, she held my hair up, as I started retching into the tin bucket. I coughed.
“Sorry.” I wiped my mouth with a napkin she gave me, and took another sip of water. She looked at me fondly, before shaking her head.
“No, you don’t need to apologize to me.” She smiled, as I gave a weak one back at her. We stayed in silence, as she spoke up.
“Oh! And of course, I brought you a potion that Madam Pomfrey said would assist in healing faster.” Merula brought a small glass bottle out of her bag. “Open your mouth.” She ordered. I complied, sticking my tongue out as she dropped some of the liquid.
I gagged, almost throwing up. “Ew! What was that?!” I freaked out, sticking my tongue out, chugging water. Merula laughed at my sudden reaction.
“Calm down.” She shushed me, as I shook my head.
“Did you just poison me!?” I exclaimed quietly.
“Maybe.” She smirked, but I knew she was kidding. This is normal in our relationship.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if you did.” I chuckled, her laughing, as the bell rung loudly.
“That’s the bell, I have to go.” I nodded, as she held both of my hands.
“Don’t worry love, I’ll be back in a bit.” She kissed my nose quickly, as I smiled. “Bye!” I waved at her, as she walked off. In my hands, I saw a note slipped in.
“You were complaining about missing class right? Well, your welcome. -The best witch at Hogwarts, other than you of course. <3″ I groaned. Of course Merula would take my complains a little too literal. I could’ve died darn it! But I chuckled, remembering her humor.
“Oh.” I said softly. Welp, let’s see what happens to Ismelda.

“Next time, don’t try to kill my girlfriend against my orders. And wash your hair. -M.” Ismelda rolled her eyes, as she opened a shampoo bottles. What crawled out? Dozens and dozens of ants. She dropped it immediately, glaring angrily.
And I? I watched holding Merula’s hand in the crowd forming, both of us smirking. Merula kissed my forehead.

A/N: This is my first request so if I strayed off, I am so so so sorry! I hope you enjoy and feedback is greatly appreciated :) I apologize if it’s a little short as well. And I think I made him a little OOC? Whoops!
I shivered, it was a wintery day at Hogwarts. The cold air blew, licking at my ears and cheeks. Rowan frowned.
“You look horrible! Even I can stand this cold weather.” She remarked, rubbing my shoulder. I sniffled.
“I never had quite the high tolerance to the cold. I get sick quite easily.” I sneezed into my arm. “Oh Merlin, I’ll make a fool of myself in potions if I sneeze into my cauldron.” I joked, smiling. She giggled.
“I have some napkins in my bag if you need them.” My eyes lit up.
“Oh really?! Thank you!” I said gratefully, as we walked to charms. The entire day, I was bundled in my scarf. The harsh winds were surprisingly strong, as Winter was coming. (Hehe, get it? No? Yeah, I’ll just keep writing.) The only thing keeping my warm was the thoughts of that Bill Weasley. He didn’t treat me any different after knowing about my brother and the Cursed Vaults, which made me like him so much. But, he made me think about the Cursed Ice, which made me shiver once again.
“Take a napkin, you’ve been sniffling all day!” Rowan fussed, handing me a white fabric. I took it, as we walked to our next class. “I think you might’ve caught a cold, you’re freezing!” She said, patting my back gently. I smiled.
“It’s fine, it’s always this bad when it’s cold.” I reassured.
“Frosty the Snowman went to Hogwarts?” Merula taunted, I swiveled around to see her, smirking at me. Her cheeks were barely red, and she seemed fine. “Wow, you really are weak. Unlike you, I can stand this cold, but you look like you’re numb!” She laughed, as Rowan hissed.
“Leave us alone Merula, we don’t have time for this!” She said angrily, bringing me away. Merula glared at us.
“Hope you suffer the next few days, in the cold, wet weather.” Merula faked a sneeze, laughing as she walked away.
The next few days, I did suffer. My cold, and mood got worse each passing hour, causing me to lash out occasionally. I couldn’t focus in class, due to the constant pounding in my head.
“HEY FROSTY!” Merula yelled across the hall. I looked behind me, and groaned. She stood in pridefully, not even shivering. I hissed.
“Damn, I’m not in the mood…” I didn’t respond, but just kept walking through the halls, freezing, but trying to ignore her.
“Did you hear my Frosty?” She ran up to me, tugging at my book bag strap, causing me to fall over.
“Sure felt you, didn’t hear you over your stupidity, sadly. You did spare my brain cells, so I’m thankful for that.” I remarked, trying to get up off the freezing floor while collecting my papers. She was about to kick me over, and I was getting ready to block her stupid leg, but luckily, Bill appeared just in time.
“Hey Merula, I heard Mr. Filch murmuring your name. He’s coming right now, he better not see the ruckus your making with my good friend,” Ouch, just a friend? C’mon, I liked you before we even met! “So, better run.” Merula glared at him, but left before Mr. Filch came.
“MERULA! WHATEVER YOU DID TO MS. NORRIS YOU’LL PAY FOR!” He yelled, as Bill quickly dove down to grab my papers. He took my hands, and my cheeks heated up, taking me down into a hallway.
“Merlin Y/N! You’re freezing!” He rubbed my hands together, my cheeks growing red as he smiled at me. Oh god, oh god, oh hell straight into heaven, I’m going to faint. Bill Weasley, the Bill Weasley I had a crush on for quite a bit, is warming me up by rubbing my hands together! I nearly shrieked, but swallowed it. “At least we’re safe from Merula.” He chuckled. I gave him a small smile.
“Yeah.” I was about to bury my face into my scarf, before realizing Penny had it. (I’m a sucker for person a giving person b a jacket or something okay?! I’m trying to be more original.) Turns out, I’m a nice, wonderful person (YES YOU ARE) and gave her my scarf because the poor girl was shivering her teeth off as well. Bill frowned.
“You’re burning red, freezing cold, a little sick, and you don’t have your scarf?” He shook his head, he reached into his bag. “Here, take my scarf.” He wrapped it around my freezing neck, smirking.
“There, you look so much better with red.” I blushed furiously, as he leaned in to peck my lips. My eyes widened, as he pulled away. Crap, I was gonna kiss back you idiot of a handsome man! He laughed, patting my shoulders. “Alright love, let’s get you to class.” I smiled, a little warmer.

“Achoo!” I rolled my eyes, passing Bill another napkin.
“You really should not have kissed me while I was sick.” I remarked, as we walked to class, he only shrugged.
“Don’t worry about me, it’s just a small cold. Plus,” He said, turning to look at me. “You liked it didn’t you?” I sighed.
“Yes, maybe, I suppose I did.” I agreed, smiling faintly. He pecked my forehead. “Ew! You’re going to get me sick I swear!” He laughed, as I ran off, him following. The days to follow sure shall be warm and bright.

Rowan:
Feels protective, and a little bit sad too. She feels the need to use her skills against Merula, but she really wants to comfort you. She doesn’t know what to do, but she sits you down in the dorms, with a couple of tissues and your favorite books, rubbing your back softly.
“Don’t worry…Your brother will be found.”
Ben:
Confused, a little angry, and a little scared. He has never seen you so upset before, what does he do? And Merula was seriously annoying now. But, how would he comfort you without making the situation worse? Your sobs were getting very loud now, earning stares from other tables, he attempted to pat your back and keep you steady, passing you napkins and such.
“It’ll be okay.”
Penny:
Angry cinnamonbun. You were a good friend, and it angered her to see Merula so happy with your suffering, especially since practically sobbing into her robes now. She patted your back, and offered to buy you some drinks and food. She tried her best to make you smile, reassuring you about her brother, while giving harsh glares at Merula.
“Sh sh, would you like some chocolate frogs?”
Bill:
Oof. Very protective, but comforting. Promising you you’re brother will come back, patting your back and helping wipe away your tears. Trying to reassure you everything will pass and he will be found. And Merula won’t even try to come near you the rest of the day, she has never seen Bill so mad at her. Gives you a bear hug afterwards.
“Hey hey, don’t cry.”

Very sweet, but won’t do much against Merula. He will stick by you like a magnet, rubbing your tears away and playing with your hair, whole patting your back. That gosh darn Chester Davies is always, and will always get on my nerves. Every day he nags me for never earning house points. Uhm excuse me?! Sorry, but I’m the one carrying the house on my back constantly, and still trying to find Jacob while also trying to learn and please all of you, and then trying to impress teachers while I’m at it!
So I’m sorry Mr. Davies that I can’t seem to get enough house points to get your satisfaction, but I earned 75 points for Ravenclaw, what have you been doing?!
Exactly. Of course, I kept these thoughts to myself. As well as some other thoughts…Like how Merula Snyde is a bitch, and how greasy Snape’s here is, and oh yes, trying to memorize all your nagging. I have raw hatred for him, and maybe some saved for Merula.
Rowan frowned at my obviously distressed look as we walked down to potions.
“Y/N? You look quite angry, is everything alright?” She asked. I grumbled.
“Of course not, Chester Davies is constantly on my back about all the house points I lost, what about those house points I recieved?! 75 points Rowan, 75! And he’s barely reached 40 as of right now, so why does he keep whining about me?” I exclaimed, running my hands through my hair, exhausted.
“Y/N, I don’t think that’s the problem.” Rowan shook her head. “You get all flustered and hot, and try to avoid his eyes.” She smiled, rubbing my back. “I think you might like him.” My calm state snapped.
“Him? The whiny Ravenclaw prefect? The only reason why I don’t tell him this is that he’ll like me even less!”
“Why would you care?” My face turned red, she’s right. This is completely irrational and contradicting. I don’t even like him! So why should I care if he likes me? I rubbed my eyes. Potions finished quickly, and I walked through the colder halls of the dark dungeons, as I felt someone shove me over.
“God damn, what the hell Merula?!” I shouted, at her, as she snickered, walking away. Rowan helped me up, as I rubbed my arm. “Son of a bitch left a bruise.” I hissed, getting up. I walked into the Ravenclaw dorms, as I rolled up my sleeves. It was impossibly hot all of a sudden, the Sunlight filtering through the windows.
“Merula’s truly the worst.” Rowan remarked. “I mean, the bruise is a bit much. I hope she gets hit with her broomstick later.” I laughed.
“Yeah, I hope she gets a broken nose.” Chester walked in, as I rolled my eyes.
“Y/N, our house just lost 10 points due to your behavior with Ms. Snyde.” He claimed, as I scoffed.
“Uh huh…And?”
“Ten points! Bloody hell, we’re never going to get the house club if you constantly cause trouble.” He argued, as I snapped. Rowan tried to calm me down.
“Okay, Chester, first off, I have 75 points, I earned all of those points, carrying the house on my back, avoiding Merula, trying to prove myself, and learn! And then I have my brother, just so you know, so 75 points for doing all that is perfectly reasonable. And I’m sorry Mr. Davies if you don’t find that satisfactory, but I usually have to earn 10 points a day just to please your gosh darn whiny face! So with all respect, last time I checked, you barely reached maybe 40 points give or take, so I think I should be the one complaining! Just look at the boards, I’m in top 5 Chester, you’re somewhere below me! So shut your mouth, because I’m working hard enough, harder than you at least.” I shot back, not realizing I was practically ranting to him. I grabbed my stuff, and followed Rowan out, immediately regretting letting my emotions take over my logical side.
What if he hates me now?
It’s been a week, and I’ve barely heard him follow me around or nag me. I was still planning for the Cursed Vaults thing, while still trying extremely hard to get more than normal house points.
“Why am I working so hard? What am I working so hard for?” I asked myself, walking around castle grounds. My energy was drained constantly, so I decided to calm myself down with a morning walk. The chilly winds licked my cheeks, my frustration growing. I couldn’t get my mind off what I said to Chester, and somehow I regretted it. He was obviously a little hurt, I took a large jab at his pride. But a side of me tried to convince myself he deserved it.
“Y/N.” I heard his voice say, as I snapped around.
“Oh, Chester. Morning.” I said flatly. He looked around.
“Listen, Y/N, I’m terribly sorry for the pressure I’ve been putting on you.” He said, walking towards me. I didn’t move back, only thinking. Whoa, holy crap Chester just apologized to me. What do I say? What do I do? Agh…
“I-I forgive you. Uhm, Chester I have something to tell you…” Blood rushed to my face. Rowan was right, there’s no other logical explanation for sweaty palms or a hot face.
START FLASHBACK(“Y/N? Pay attention, I thought you needed help getting adjusted.” My face flushed.
“Uhm right, right of course.” I watched him continue to talk about house points or something, as I admired his features. Black hair, dark eyes and deepened cheekbones, oh wait, what’s he saying? I could barely pay attention as my heart raced.
“Y/N!” He called, as I snapped back to attention, my face red.
“Right, right. Sorry, Uhm. What were you saying?” He let out a dry chuckle, as he explained again, a little louder and faster this time.) END FLASHBACK
“Okay Chester I know I just yelled at you and we’re having our friendship bonding time but I really, no I really really really like you. Merlin’s beard that’s weird, and I know this is dumb, but yes, those are my feelings, and I just needed to get it off my chest, and I-“ he blinked, as he suddenly kissed my forehead. “O-okay.”
“I like you too.” He smiled, as he looked around. “Seems like class is starting soon, you’re not wearing your scarf?” He sighed, shaking his head. I blushed furiously as he wrapped his around my neck. “Stay out of trouble alright?” He said, grabbing my chin with a quick smile. My heart pounded so loudly I was worried he could hear it.
“Y-yes, of course.” I heard someone squeal behind us.
“The new Ravenclaw couple! Oh yes, so much more gossip!” Penny said, smiling. We both giggled, as he left, walking to class. I buried my face in the scarf, smiling.

A/n: We’re back in business, I’m getting to all the requests right now! This one might be a little short, I’m so sorry!
I never liked Merula. Ever since she trapped me in Devil’s Snare, I avoided her as much as possible. I admit, I felt slightly cruel for treating her like vermin, constantly dodging her, but the majority of me felt like it was only right. She deserved the slight empathy I gave her, helping her up or helping polish her broom. But other than that, I kept to my friend group only to avoid her.
The Cursed Vaults was a race between us. Both of us going as fast as we could, because in the end all I wanted was my brother back again.
I sighed, moping through the dark halls of Hogwarts. After exploring for hours and avoiding being caught by Filch, I could finally sneak back into bed. I was exhausted, all this weight was being thrown down on me for no reason. My prefect hates me, but if you think about it, who won the house cup for you? Exactly. As I walked, I heard sniffles in the corner. I ignored it, but as I kept walking the sniffles turned into sobs.
It was audible over my heavy huff, as I walked back to the source of the noise, expecting it to be a first year who misses their mum or such. But, a shock came to me to find Merula sobbing. Her body curled up in a fetal position, eyes puffy and red. I froze in the hallway. What do I do? I hate this girl, but it doesn’t feel right to leave her sobbing in the middle of the night. I slowly walked towards her, dropping my stuck on the ground as I passed a handkerchief.
“What are you doing here (L/N?)” She glared at me, as I rolled my eyes.
“You’re not in a position to talk, take the stupid handkerchief.” She sighed, blowing her nose and wiping her tears. “Now speak. Why are you crying?” She turned away, as we stayed in silence.
“You’re not gonna leave anytime soon are you?” She whispered.
“No. Obviously.”
“Fine.” She made eye contact with me, hugging her knees. “I’m crying because of my parents.” My brows furrowed with interest. Merula crying about something like this? She would of slapped me by now. I felt slight guilt of almost telling everyone I found Merula crying in the halls. “They’re locked up, and now everyone calls me a death eater or worthless.”
“So that’s why you’re crying. Because of the stupid, ‘IF YOU’RE PARENTS ARE IN AZKABAN YOU BELONG THERE TOO,’ mindset.” I shook my head. “Even if we hate each other, just know, that I don’t hate you because of your parents. I don’t even hate you. Sure you tick me off and played evil tricks on me that I honestly despised, but still. You’re a person who I think is worth being there for.” I looked away. “So even if others may disagree, there’s always one person out there for you. Even if that has to be me.”
She was silent for a second, as if she was thinking of something. “Thank you…Y/N.” She muttered under her breath. As I smiled at her.
“So please, turn that frown upside down for me. I don’t want to duel a frowny one.” She snorted, which broke into muffled laughter.
“Merlin, hearing that from you sounds ridiculous!” She exclaimed, wiping her tears of sadness and laughter away, as we both got up. I opened my arms for a hug, as she raised a brow at me. “Really L/N? A hug? Just because you comforted me…Does not mean I’m giving you a hu-Mmph!” I shut her up, by wrapping my arms around her tightly. She sighed into my shoulder. “Fine.” She hugged me back as her tears stained my shirt slightly.
“Truce tomorrow?” I asked, rubbing her back soothingly.
“Yes. You get a day without my taunting tomorrow.” She mumbled, as I rocked her back and forth.
“Now, we have to sleep before Filch catches us, good night Merula.” I smiled, as she only gave a faint one back. I giggled to myself, walking to my dorms. Maybe she isn’t so bad.
Extended ending:
The next day, I landed in the courtyard to see two Gryffindors snickering to each other.
“Did you see Merula today? Her hair’s a mess!” One of them said.
“I know right, no wonder nobody likes her, just look at her!” They broke into laughter once again, as I muttered curses under my breath, walking up to them.
“Hey there!” I greeted.
“What do you need from us?” They glared, as I smiled.
“So I heard you talking about Merula.” I held them both by the collars. “Listen, if you don’t apologize in the next 6 hours, I will make both of your lives living hell and I will not hesitate to report any of your abuse to my dear friend Merula to Dumbledore, Snape, or any of our professors. So unless you want to be cleaning storage rooms or sitting in Filch’s office, I suggest you apologize.” They looked at me with wide eyes. “Now.” I gave them an icy (Eyyy) stare, dropping them as they scrambled to find Merula.
Okay, admittedly I wasn’t that scary, but it sure did the job. Later in Potions, Merula smiled at me gratefully, mouthing a, “Thank you.”
Yeah. Maybe she isn’t so bad at all.

I crept through the halls, watching the shadows. Why? Well, you’ll find out. I arrived at the right hall, and hid in a broom closet. I stood silently, waiting. The door swung open, and I backed into the shadows.
Okay, time for explanations. I needed to meet my boyfriend, Felix Rosier. Slytherin 5th year. Why did we meet at night? Well, I was a muggleborn (insert House here). A desirable Slytherin, and a muggleborn? We decided to keep it on the DL for now.
I pushed my hair back, waiting in the closet. There was a small knock, as I swung the door open quietly.
“Hello love.” Felix greeted in a low whisper, smiling. We sat down together in the small closet, sitting on cleaning chests. It was hard to face each other in such a cramped space, but it was the best we could have for a date.
I sighed, rubbing my eyes, trying to adjust to the darkness. “I’m sorry I couldn’t bring you anywhere nicer, Mr. Filch is roaming everywhere.” I think he shook his head, at least from what I could see or here.
“No no, it’s fine Y/N. At least we’re together.” He said, smiling at me. I giggled. We continued to sit in silence, messing with each other’s fingers.
“What if someone finds out?” I asked, breaking the cold ice. (Hahah get it?) He shrugged.
“Then, I’ll be proud.” I raised an eyebrow, as he scooted towards me, and started twisting and playing with my hair. I sighed, my tense muscles relaxing. I always found it quite nice when someone played or touched my hair.
“What do you mean by proud?” I questioned, as he continued to mess with my hair. I passed him some rubber bands, as he hummed for a second.
“Well. One, I would be proud to have someone so gorgeous as my lover, as well as someone so resourceful and sharp. Oh, and caring, and strong, and simply wonderful.” I could hear his smile in his voice, his cold hands braiding strands of my hair together, as my eyes fluttered.
“Well…I’m a muggleborn.” I responded, my cheeks a little red from his sudden affection.

“When can we tell everyone?” I asked, resting my head in his lap, so his dark eyes could see mine. They glinted, shining like stars through the damp walls. I always loved his eyes. Always showed his feelings, so many feelings swirling them around like a whirlwind of emotions. But staring up at them now, I could tell he was okay. Calm. Serene. And I loved when his eyes resembled that.
“One day Y/N.” He murmured, stroking my hair. I laughed softly.
“I can’t wait for that day.” I said, yawning.
“Are you falling asleep?” He asked with a smirk. My cheeks heated up, as a smile broke out onto my face.
“Maybe.” I paused. “What do you think would happen if people did find out?” He seemed to think for a second, his eyes suddenly swirling around again.
“Penny would be all over us, gossiping. Rowan, your friend right?” I nodded. “Yeah, she would be really supportive, Merula would be quite angry, and you and I would still be perfect.” I snorted.
“Perfect? I have to hide you in a broom closet. I can barely give you anything. Anything I give is far from perfect.” I rolled my eyes, as he blinked, his eyes swirling with confusion.
“What do you mean?” He asked. I scoffed.
“Look at us! Hiding out, just to love each other, it’s not perfect.” He giggled softly, and my heart practically melted at the sound.
“I don’t care love. I care only if I’m with you. This is only perfect to me, because you’re here. And that’s what makes this special to me, you are my sunshine.” My eyelashes fluttered, my heart warming.
“I love you.” I said, all my affection going into those three words, a warm smile on his face.
“I love you too. Now sleep for a bit darling, I’ll wake you up when it’s time to go. I promise I’ll be here, always.” He kissed my forehead, as I drifted off into sleep.

“C’mon Penny, we must find Y/N before potions! Snape will kill her for missing class today! Let’s check the broom closet!” Rowan warned, dragging Penny through crowds of students. They opened the door, to find Y/N resting, snoring softly on Felix’s lap. Both asleep with a tender look on their faces.
“Oh, my god, The Slytherin prefect with Y/N L/N!? Who would’ve thought?” Penny exclaimed, giggling softly. Rowan smiled faintly.
“I knew it. Let’s leave them alone for a bit, potions today can’t be that important.” They both agreed, shutting the door quietly, as they walked away.
